About Me

My name is Faisal Sharif. I’m 31 years old and live in Dammam Saudi Arabia native Pakistani. I studied Computer Science in 1999, Certified Oracle Developer (OCP) in 2000 and started professional career in 2001 as trainer. After working 2 years I joined MBA-IT from COMSATS which completed in 2004 with specialization in IT and Finance.
I did work in leading Textile and Aviation groups of Pakistan. I have been part of ENMAC, Nishat Mills , Kohinoor Mills , Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for seven years. For last two and half years working in Saudi Cement Company (Saudi Arabia DAMMAM) as Oracle Apps Techno/Functional Consultant

I joined Nishat Mills in December 2003. Since then I’ve been busy upgrading Forms/Reports to version 10gR2, including Oracle Single Sign On to end project. Then I joined Kohinoor Mills in 2005 where I got opportunity to work in Oracle E-Business Suit. I was responsible for all technical related issues in Dying and Hosiery division. I joined Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in year 2007 and it was a great experience to work on QUSAR and SABRE systems equipped with mainframe machines. Reporting was very tricky because of huge database running behind. I remember that each table occupied dozen GB space on local server.

I have been completely locked in to the Oracle technology stack, and I love it!

I’ll use this blog to report on my findings using Oracle EBS R12 Technical and Functional in my workfield while I make the typical transition from “traditional” Forms/Designer development to OAF.
